Thumbs down Transmission Problem

My transmission just gave me a problem for the 1st time ever. Its like its stuck in gear. When the car is in neutral and i let off the clutch the car drives forwards slowly. Also its hard for me to get it into 1st or reverse. Also when in reverse its like it wants to go forward. Can anyone let me know if i need a new trans or is this a fixable problem. Thanks in advance.

What happens when you step on the brakes when the car crawles forward?
Does it stall?
Any extra noise doing that?
(if so then stop doing it immediatly)

Either way.. IMO there is something wrong inside the gearbox.
Maybe shiftrod linkage, bend shift forks.

IMO the gearbox needs to be taken out and apart too look.
Don't drive it anymore.

When i step on the brakes the car doesnt move. But when i let of the brakes and the car isnt in gear it starts to slowly forwards on its own. I think my extended warrenty covers it. But i dont have the honda warrenty. Will that cause a problem when i take it to the dealer?

Sounds to me like a synchronizer might be stuck to the shift collar. This would give other gears problems, and it would slowly move foward even when not in gear. If I am right you definately don't want to drive the car.
Time for a new transmission...

Confirm this JDM-S2K19: you are not using some really thick transmission oil, are you?
Do you know what kind of oil is in the transmission right now?

Is there anything you can think of that happenend just before this problem raised its ugly head?

well i just got my trans serviced about 5000 miles ago at a honda dealer. So i assume they used the factory fluid. Im not gonna lie I was driving a lil sprited, but my shifts were on point, i didnt grind or miss any gears and also there was no problem while shifting. Its when i came to a stop i couldnt get it into 1st. Then I realized the other problems.

To rule out the obvious: check the transmission oil level.
Your owners manual will show you how to do that.
If the oil smells bad or burned.. confirm with the dealer they used Honda MTF.

Another thing you can do yourself is check the plastic shifter bushings.
You will have to remove the shifter to see them.

Other then that...

Let us know what it was / is.
