Default Transmission woes

I'm having some issues with my transmission. I've got only 1700 miles on the odometer (it's an '03). Here are my issues:

1) Difficulty shifting into 1st. Like others have mentioned, seems to happen primarily when moving and when the car is cold.

2) Jumps out of 2nd. When I rev 1st to 8000 or so, then shift to 2nd, it jumps out of second about 50% of the time. So far it's done it 5 times (I don't drive it hard that often). Each time, the sound from the gearbox is more violent.

I told the dealer about #1 at 650 miles and they did a "pressure test". whatever that is, and declared there to be no problem. Any ideas what the problem(s) could be and what I should do about it?

If it's popping out of 2nd, take it to the dealer. If you can reproduce it for them, they will probably just replace the tranny. If they drive it, and they can't reproduce it, you will have to talk them in to riding with you.

I think 1 is pretty normal. Not being able to shift into 1st while moving might be a "protection feature".

Jumps out of 2nd: I've had that happen when I know the gear wasn't all the way in. Now if it is and it does it... gotta take it to dealer.
