Default trouble with third...

No matter what I do I seem to be having trouble with 3rd gear from second to third only. Not from fourth to third. Any thoughts ? Competition stage two clutch ap1 flywheel put 10k on the setup and it seems to be difficult to push into the gear and occasionally I get bounced out. Trans fluid was flushed 10k ago with Honda fluid. Dot3 Honda fluid in res. Stainless braided clutch line from sos. 73k on my 2006 my. It seems if I press the clutch in firmly almost like kicking it the car will shift smoothly. If I try and press the pedal slowly and smoothly I have issues engaging the gear. Never had problems until recently. Clutch does not slip at all that I'm aware of.

clutch free-play needs to be adjusted first. https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/index.php...&fromMainBar=1

this may help. if this doesn't help it may be too late and the sychros may be gone .........

regrease the shifter too if it helps you feel better.

With regard to the synchros. I shift every gear and don't skip shift however I don't always downshift through every gear usually I'll go from 6 to 5 to 4 and then back up or I'll go from 6543 then neutral to a stop and start at 1 then go through the rest
I'll regrease the shifter. Is there a diy on clutch adjustment?

Edit* you beat me on the response. Thanks

Sounds like you might have some air in your line. I had a similar issue. If I pressed in the clutch rapidly it shifted smooth, but if I did it slowly, it was more difficult to get into gear. Gravity bleeding the slave cylinder helped a lot.

Update. I re greased the shifter and it solved about 50 percent of the problems going to adjust the clutch tomorrow and I feel like that should have done it. II feel much better not having to worry about it possibly being the syncros or worse thanks for all your quick responses. Under the shifter was basically grey gooey water
