Anyone have any ideas on what the problem might be and if they are related? My trunk no longer opens when I press the remote or the button inside the glove box.

I also just noticed that the middle brake light is also not working when I press the brake pedal.

trace down the fuse, might also have a short

 

its fuse #26, 15 amp, also check #9, 10amp

 

thanks for the idea, i checked both fuses and they are fine.

 

you have a large crowbar ? i'm out of idea's
