Turning off the engine - Cooler fan?
Next beginner question... sorry!
I noticed that the fan dont come on when i turn off the engine after a drive, even on a very hot day and Stop-and-go in the City.
Is this normal?
I checked the fans, both are working and starts after some time when i let the car idle in the garage.

I think the fans will only come on with ignition on. I usually sit and wait for the fans to go off before I switch off the engine. Then you know its within normal temp range and is ok to switch off.
I drove for a long time with my rad switch faulty, fans didnt even come on. Now I've replaced it all is working again.

Only some cars have that function (I have never owned a car that did actually, but have seen a few that did fail and drain the battery) and it is actually not all that common as far as I know. The S2k, as far as I know in any year model, does not run the fans with the key off.

Just turn it off when you're done with it. As long as its not over heating, there's no need or benefit to cooling coolant that is no longer circulating anyway.

And again....thank you all!
@ engifineer: I owned a lot of vehicles before that has this funtion. Actually, my winter beater and my motorcycle also have this function. Thats why i was wondering about my S2000.
@ s2000Junky: I am not aware of any street legal ones here in Germany.
