well try it... if the mounts are fairly easy to change and I belive the OEM ones are not that bad for a couple hundred bucks it would probly be worth it... plus its getting up there in miles so it def wouldnt hurt... just post a result if you do sowe can see

Replaced the motor mounts and changed the spark plugs. The problem's still there.

You might check the TPS with a multimeter to make sure there is no erratic operation through the entire range of motion.

Maybe it's the axle buckets. Don't quote me though.

had a very similar problem last week in my boosted '00 s2k. gas was low and the car had been sitting a little while so I put a new tank of 93 in it and it went away. turns out it was just bad gas.

Fuel filter? Really?

This isnt a small block chevy, modern cars have an inline fuel filter at the fuel pump inside the tank. Unless you get sugar or rust in the tank, it will last the "lifetime" of the vehicle.

OP what you might be experiencing is called a misfire. One of your cylinders spark plugs is not igniting. Probably a bad coil pack. Take out each one out, but leave it plugged in. Use a rubber grip screw driver and make contact with the metal side on the metal contact inside the coil pack. Hover the screw driver shaft about 3/4" above one of the valve cover bolts or something metal. Have a friend briefly turn over the car. Check for spark. Should be icy blue. Repeat on all cylinders.
