I'm installing a NRG thin hub and it doesn't have the room to keep the SRS reel so I'm going to remove it. I have unscrewed the 3 screws holing it to the console and unhooked the connector housing the cruise and horn wires. On the opposite side is the reel is airbag wries (2 of them) and connector.
My questions is: How to I unhook the wires from the reel without cutting the bar code sticker OR is this even possible?

If anyones wondering how to do this.

You don't unhook the wires at the reel. You have to follow the two wires back down the steering column and you'll find another yellow connector (similar to the airbag connector found in the steering wheel). Unhook the yellow connector and your golden.
