Default Urgent help please

My brother has put off emmisions to the last minute. The emissions facility reported a bad O2 sensor. After it is repaired, will the car clear the code itself? Or does the ecu need to be reset? If it is reset and then retested immediately it will fail correct? He's got 33 minutes til no license
thanks

Even if it is cleared it will be remembered by the ECU for a number of cycles. Most states require the code to be cycled out of the stack before passing the test. Last one I fooled with (not the S2000) it took 50 miles of driving before it would pass on the inspection computer.

His only choice is to drive it illegally until it's in "Readyness" which means the ECU has tested and verified the emissions are OK. Just because it has an O2 code, that doesn't mean it has a bad O2 sensor.

Being that the 1st reply wasn't until after your 33 minute deadline, I'm guessing you guys figured it out?
