I forget now where I saw it but one of the racer's catalogs (Racer's Wholesale?) had a long lever-type jack (simply insert it under the jack point and use the long arm to raise the car in one motion) ofr ~$175. I was thinking about looking into these on the assumption that I could place a heavy weight on the handle to hold the car up while I placed jack stands...

light weight
long reach
low retracted height
low price
fits well in trunk
two piece handle

Yep, I've been thinking about this.

The tools are the best in the business with names including: SK Tools, Waterloo, OTC, Robinair, Raytec, Mityvac, and Central tools. I have a 3" jack that will for sure fit underneath the car. Give me a few days and i'll start a Group Buy. Thanks for the interest. Brandon

I used to have a jack that fit under my Corvette. I don't remember where I bought it, but it was from something like Kragen Auto. Somehow I managed to lose track of it. I bought another one at Autozone, but it only fit under my Corvette when my tires were fully inflated. But my Vette is lower than my S2000, so the Autozone jack might fit the S2k OK. I haven't tried it yet. It's also cheap.

Robin.
