wortham,
Seems that u have spent so much money on your car... I was wondering y u dont spend a little more for the EMS... I personally think all moderatly modded cars should run the EMS.....
hehe well, it was never supposed to go as far as it did, and it crosses my mind to do it, but i ran out of money long, long ago. now, if i were decide to run more than 6 lbs of boost, i'd definitely upgrade the computer, get bigger injectors, and prob a few other things, but seeing that i'm not, i'm happy enough with the VAFC. that, and it just looks cool mounted in the center console.

i doubt it. and if so, nothing you'd ever notice. all you're basically doing it tweaking the engine to gain a little more power out of it. it's a piggy back to your car's computer that allows another level of customization in order to gain the most from how your computer manages one of its components.

Ok so I buy the VAFC for $200 something or so used and then pay another $150 to get it tuned at a import shop on the dyno?

i'd also suggest getting a harness as well. it makes install much easier, and also make removal a snap. they run about $100 used.

I really want to know more about this.

Did you do a write up somewhere?

Is it like the E-manage additional injection control?

so is this going to come with a harness? Or you have to buy one separately? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=33597

I haven't done a writeup, since marcucci and I were planning on producing them. I finished the prototype about 7 months ago, but never did get around to starting the production unit. Basically, it is a piggy-back with a WBO2 input. It monitors the WBO2 while it tunes itself. It worked much better than I could have hoped.

Here is a dyno plot showing the best (flattest) AFR curve I could achieve with a V-AFC.

Here is the same car on the same dyno (different day) with my controller.

Damn, that's nice. You should definitely produce this unit!
