vafc question...is it working?
Kinda a stupid question but...
I bought a harness and a vafc, wired it all together. Followed the instructions that came with it plus the advice I've read here.
All the settings are pretty much default at this point. But my question is, how do I know it's working?
Sure it lights up all pretty and I can navigate around and the monitoring functions seem to be working...but...
I played a little with the V/T cont L>H and H>L settings, moving them up and down a little on the rpm range but havent noticed any differences. VTEC seems to kick right in ~6500 regardless. Though granted, I've only gone out a couple times to play with it (installed last night...work today). Anyone have any suggestions on this? I'll likely be heading to the dyno next pay-day to have it tuned...but until then I want to make sure the thing is at least doing what it's supposed to be doing.
Also I've noticed that the harness doesnt fit too well underneath there. And trying to force it in can sometimes disloge the connections to the ECU. Which have caused some rough idles and almost stalls. To fix it I just go back in and reconnect everything properly...but how are other people fitting their harnesses behind the kickplate?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cthree, I agree 100%. I don't feel like playing around with it too much until I hit the dyno...but I was hoping there was some other way that I can confirm all is as it should be with the unit.
Guess I'll just wait till next week. Meanwhile I get to look at the pretty graphs it makes
