Slick,

Do a search on the AEM EMS and you'll get a better sense of the tradeoffs. As for where to buy an VAFC, check with our sponsors. They typically offer the best prices and service, plus they're a valuable resource for board members.

my car just died/stalled out 3 times when i installed the VAFC(died when first starting the car, idled for less then a minute then RPM'S got lower and just stalled out). put vtecnology's setting and Brandon B's setting somewhere around the beginning of the post...did i forget to set something? i changed all the settings in the setting part of the menu and did the etc. menu settings according to RT's in another post.i didnt touch display setting, are you supposed to?? please help , i just unplugged the harness and plugged back in the regular wires to the ECU and my car is fine. one more thing the check CEL came on,is that supposed to happen?(it turned off when i took off the)

please help ASAP...i really appreciate all this.

Check the cable connection.
It sound like the connection between the harness and the VAFC is not connected properly. This can gives you the CEL and stalling

A CAI won't change much. The ECU will compensate for the effects of the CAI.

If your ECU, MAP sensor, or VTEC Solenoid go out, the dealership may try to claim that the V-AFC is responsible, but not for something like a transmission problem.

I realize that there are some dealers that are going to be a-holes, but there are laws that govern this sort of thing. If AHM can't prove that a failure is caused by a modification, AHM is legally bound to the terms of the warranty.
