Default VAFC + wiring harness + map controller + vortech timing controller installation?

For those VAFC and wiring harness veterans:

as far as i understand from the info i have recollected:

1. Jumping ahead, once i connect the VAFC I will do the initallization routine and I can drive like that to the dyno shop as the VAFC will have blank adjustments, correct??

2. going back. i was told also that the vortech timing box and map controller boxes will get connected directly to the ECU, then after that you will connect the wiring harness and the VAFC will be connected to the harness so the VAFC takes over the black box. correct? or please tell me what order they are to be installed Somehow I would've liked to be able to plug and play everything w/ the wiring harness

thanks

Hi HardtuTame
Have you got your Vortech aldready? When are you going to install?

1. Yes, make sure you initialize the VAFC correctly. Set Vtec on at 5900.

2. A number of people have tapped the Vortech wiring into the VAFC harness. RT knows the wiring detail of the VAFC harness very well. He promised to help me when my kit is installed. If you could PM him with details for the Vortech wiring , I am sure he is happy to help.

If he does, could you please post the info on here so everyone will benefit ?

Nice and helpful? ..... I don't know, some may beg to differ
Hard, if you can post the wiring diagram for the Vortech box I'm sure we can figure out the V-AFC interface lickety-split.

Hey RT

Well maybe this will help rather than go into a whole bunch of things here.

I can follow the diagrams for the wiring installation for the map and timing controller and for the VAFC which they all say obviously to hook it straight to the ECU wires. In my case I got the wiring harness so I will be splicing all the wires from the map and timing controller and VAFC to the wiring harness so I can plug and play the harness into the computer, right? will the VAFC know to take over adjustments for the fuel? will it work normal?

thanks

If you make sure things are in the right order (serially) things should work fine.

ok I understand the term serially
but can you be a little specific when it comes to these boxes? When you say serially and the fact that I want to connect everything to the harness, im not quite sure how they go together.

thanks!!
