is this something that I can do?
I've never even changed the oil in my car by myself yet. All these words that you guys are using have no meaning to me...
...so if I buy a Helm's manual and follow the instructions, would I be capable of completing this task? (assuming I have a certain level of intelligence...usc graduate, 22 years old)

When you say you have never changed your oil, I would say don't even think about doing this.
With that, check this link and look at my mistakes...I've been changing my own oil for more years then you have been alive.

Ditto here on the B18 Gernby. That's the only other Honda DOHC I've done valve adjustments on, and it did require the cam lobe to rocker gauging. I can't really remember my F22A4 (Accord) but I think it is the other way. I wonder if any others were like the B18(A1), BTW that is how the official Acura manual said to do the valve adjustment. So I'm just pointing out I could have made the same mistake when I got around to doing my S.
