Have they already been installed in the head? What type of guides are they?

Dimensions of the valve shaft and the guides maybe different between intake and exhaust.

Guides are side dependent (intake are different from exhaust), but also, new guides usually get reamed out to fit after installation as installation can sometimes cause burring on the ends of the guides.

Don't you have to heat the head and freeze the guides to install them?

Yes Slowcrash. The guides get frozen and head heated to aide in the installation, but even still, a guide reamer is generally used to achieve the final sizing.

Use dry ice -109 ° shouldn't have to heat head.

This is the way I would sleeve a block as well.

Be sure to have container for dry ice vented. Or boom.

Unless your guides are TRASH I wouldn't change them, most shops will screw it up more than anything. New guides will have to be reamed after they are installed.

Honda drills the guides after they are installed so the actual guide hole may not be exactly inline with where the valve needs to be. So when you replace them 75% of the time you end up having to sink the valve job to get the valve to seal up properly. Sinking the valve job kills flow.
