Hey guys, my guess is it's the Mode Control Motor. The first 4 settings work fine, but whenever you ask for any defrost settings it'll take away the air from the Front or Feet... but nothing ever makes it to defrost vents .

I took the stereo out but can't really see anything there that I could test or physically move to force the mode switch manually.

If you are trying to get to the mode control motor, did you remove the driver's heater outlet?

part #6. Is that under the plastic covering by the firewall in the engine bay?

 

#6 looks like foot well heater outlet. No? Are you sure that has to go?

Ive never explored that far under mine with the radio removed but from the link I had posted it looks like it is in the engine bay between the firewall and the windshield under that piece of plastic under the hood. I might be wrong but thats my opinion of where it appears to be.

Damn, so where the knobs for heat and defrost. I'll look in to removing that section then.
