Wicky,
I think the numbers recommended are .026 EX and .23 intake.....

I am running toda cams. I highly doubt anything will be damaged. There would be a lot of cars running around with damaged cams if a difference of .002" was going to "damage" anything. It will however seriously effect perfomance. I am quite happy with how the cams feel right now. The top end breaths fantasticly. I took it to 9k and it would not stop turning.

Beroz - you are correct on the recommended clearances for the Toda's. I find it interesting that those clearences are pretty stock (.021-.026 in, .025 - .029 ex)

the clearances before adjust were about .028 both sides. didn't break anything.

for what its worth, having smaller clearences will enable the valve to be open longer, and will reduce the force of impact from the rocker. Having the valves open that tiny amount more help the head to breath more, hence better top end power.......

I run slightly less than spec valve clearances myself, but I am using the stock cams. Running less clearance reduces the amount of time that the valves are fully seated, which increases their temperature and increases the chances of burning a valve.

good for a higher revving motor as long as the springs and retainers can handle higher revs. You may be able to squeeze more power out. Revving the engine even higher probable won't help it last much longer though.....
