Could cheap rear dif. fluid cause vibration during acceleration? I had my local oil change place put my transmition fluid in for me (honda Fluid) and when they did the guy underneath thought that the manager said that it was for the rear dif. and drained the fluid out. All they had to put back what whatever cheap stuff they had there at the shop.. Now to the problem...

During acceleration I notice a slight vibration in 4th, 5th, and 6th gears from about 3k rpms up to ~6500ish. I have never noticed it before and I don't notice it any other times. Seems to be worse when accelerating around a corner on an incline.

 

Change out that fluid. I know the diffs have been ruined by having the wrong diff fluid in there. Even the wrong Honda diff fluid..

 

Vibration throughout the car could also be something as little as poor tire balance to something bigger like CV buckets

 

noticed the vibration with two different sets of wheels/tires so I don't think it is tires off balance. I was hoping for that to be it. How would I check the cv buckets and other things?

 

Does it stop as soon as off the gas?

 

Yes as soon as I let off it stops vibrating, and as soon as I press it there it is.

 

sounds like axles

 

I have the exact same problem on my AP1. Honda is gonna take a look at it next week. Is the CV buckets or axles exspensive to replace?
