Default Vibration when over 70km (arb 45 mph)

Hi, pls help, my S has vibration when speed over 60-70 kmh, I read the pervious thread, and found that CV joint is a common problem of S, but the diff of my S is, it feels like the vibration is coming from the front instead of rear, n the virbrate would disappear for while and come back again, i am sure it nth with the engine as it still sharking when i hold the clutch.

I still couldnt found out what trigger the vibration and what makes it gone.

Anyone here had same experience?

whats the frequency of the vibration? if low then its the tires out of balance, if high, most likely its the engine mounts.

either way its not the CV, CV vibration usually occurs under acceleration.

Try balancing your wheels first, and if the rims are aftermarket do they have correct center bore? if not does it have the correct size adapter?

x2.

try balancing your wheels/tires first. vibration at speed is usually a symptom of inbalanced wheels.

this happened on both my ae86 and evo, and it turned out to that the wheels were not mounted/torqued correctly. both cars have tapered lug nuts (volks), and you gotta be careful when you put those wheels on. even with hub-centric rings, they will still not fit right unless if you screw down the bolts softly in a star pattern with low torque before torquing them to spec.

I agree with the balancing of the tires. When there was ice on the inside of the rims it would happen at anything higher than 30. Even if its not the case, it was a cheap guess.
