Default Voodoo shlobbed my knob

I installed my Pearl Voodoo knob with a six-speed engraving and --tightened all the way-- the engraving is about 210 Degrees OVER what it should be. (So-from the driver seat, I'm looking at the knob upsidedown and tilted toward the right headlight) ~ I was recommended to use Blue Lactite in order to fasten it to where I want it, so that it will stay, but not hold it SOOOO tight (red lactite) that I won't be able to remove it in the future.

I am still hesitant to do this because I'm worried it wont come off.

Any suggestions on how to apply the Loctite OR Other options?

Use one small drop of blue loctite and you will be able to break it free with no problem.

This is what i did, worked great. Wrap the threads with the tape 6 or 7 times. Mine came out perfect.

what you do is put the blue locktite on
put your knob how you want it and then let it sit for like 30 mins.
ive had it like that 2 times and it holds tight.

i personally think its still alil hard to take it off. had to use vice grips but that might be because i used too much locktite.

Be very careful on how much blue loctite you put on! No more than a drop or two. I slathered my threads with it and now the darn Voodoo knob is almost impossible to remove. I've been told I'll probably need to take out the entire shifter and heat it with a blow torch to remove it. I did the same to my antenna. They are stuck on tight!

On the bright side I don't have to worry about my pricey Ti Voodoo knob and antenna being stolen.

Put a tap in a vise, and thread the knob on to the tap. (8x1.25 I believe) Turn the knob untill the shift pattern lines up, you'll be cutting just a small section of threads.

Then you can install the knob without any loctite.
