Default Vortech Sc Install!

I've been browsing around for a while about this and ive read a lot of threads on everything. I finally came upon a great deal on a kit that i just can't pass up.

If anybody can give me some pointers or things to look out for or common mistakes etc. it would be GREATLY appreciated. I just want to get a head start on things. Thanks in advance.

I'm about to do this install see the thread on the "European S2000 Owners" section.
X-Vipers instrutions are very helpful, he even managed to keep the car on the road between the various stages. I won't be doing that with mine.
While I've got the sump off I'm interested in replacing these oil bolts everyone is talking about, Do you know anything about this? Are you intending to do it, if so where do you get the new bolts from and what are the advantages?

If you're doing the job yourself I would recommend one of these:

I made my own as these weren't available at the time:

I'm hoping to borrow the special honda tools from my local garage where I bought the car. If they won't co-operate then I'll have to think of another alternative.

I remember reading something about the blow-off valve cutting into one of the hoses in the car installed in it's current position. It should be modified to clear the line.

With regards to the wiring confusion, my suggestion is to NOT rely too heavily on the verbal instructions. Take all your connections from the "wiring diagrams" ONLY. The diagrams are correct.
As for the oil bolts, here is a thread about their installation:
https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...threadid=102067

First, make sure you really need them. Part way through the model year '02, Honda put the new 4 hole bolts in.
If you don't have them, there is a European recall to get them, so you may not have to pay for it yourself. If you are not in Europe and you are going to put on FI, you would be wise to make sure you have these new bolts as the engine will be more stressed and produce more internal heat. The new bolts will provide for better lubrication and cooling under each piston.

Yes, this is correct. It will take a very long time for it to actually cut into that line as there is a substantial foam insulating tube that wraps around it. However, when you install the BOV, MOUNT IT UPSIDE DOWN and this will eliminate the problem. I've seen pics of some Vortech ads with the BOV mounted this way. It will work fine, just might need a bit more of the tubing that they provide.
