Default VSA ! And check engine light after stoeage

Guys this was my first winter with the S2000. I let it sit for about two months which I know is not ideal. So I started it up and after about 30 minutes the check engine light and the VSA and ! Lights came on (everything is solid not blinking). Car had a half tank of gas and I just filled it up. My guess is the check engine light will go off but should I be concerned about the VSA and ! Lights? I tried shutting the car off as well as driving another 15 miles. When I shut the car off just a little while ago the VSA light stayed off for a few miles. When I shut the car off the VSA and ! are not on at startup but after sitting a few minutes come on as well (except this last time.) Any ideas?

Get an OBD reader and pull the CEL code. For certain fault codes, the VSA light turns on as default and doesn't necessarily indicate a VSA failure.

Agreed. Pep Boys, Autozone, etc will pull them for free in hopes of selling you fix it parts. Tell them you need your OBD II codes pulled to diagnose a problem. Post them here as many have manuals and can tell you what is going on.

You can disconnect your battery for 45 min and let the codes clear. If anything is wrong they will come back. Since u only filled up gas since it was sitting I would give the gas cap a few more clicks to make sure it sealed up.

You can get an obd II reader fairly cheap and good to have around IMO
