Default Vsa light

I have a 07 ap2 got the car like a year ago and evrytime I drive now the vsa light comes on is it because I have bald tires in the rear or is it because the vsa is malfunctioning? Well anyways my new rear tires are coming in the mail so maybe this will fix the problem?

how bald are ur tires are they down to the wear bar and no vsa it not malfunctioning its actualy work just fine this happens when u run bald tires on the back they tend to spin easier and vsa sees this as if u were losing traction so it stops them , just gt sum new tires and ill b all good, and if u saving for tires just b easy on the gas when driving

Holy molly, punctuation fellas, use it.

Your VSA is malfunctioning. I have driven the car with the tires showing threads and my VSA light never came on.

You need to be more clear. Is it intermittent (e.g. flashes during driving), or a solid constant ON?

Does the light stay on when your not moving? if it does then it's not your worn rears.

There's a thread in the UK that has the same problem on an 07 S.

Sounds like it could be the same problem..

The VSA light ("VSA") or the VSA activation light (triangle with exclamation mark, IIRC)? It's the former that you really need to worry about generally.

I also have a MY07 and seem to have the same problem - just like the long litany of MY07 VSA problems on the UK thread. Fortunately I've still got 4 months left on the warranty, but they're still going to charge me a diagnostic fee. It's going in for diagnosis and service first thing Monday.
