Do you guys know when the Vtec kick's in on ap2's? Can you adjust it to a certain rpm?

 

At roughly 6k Rpms both models. You can adjust it with a reflash on your ecu.

Except you can't reflash an 00-05 car. Your options on those years are piggybacks or standalone EMUs.

 

Lol didn't know 04 and 05 couldn't. Thought all ap2s could, learn something new everyday (:

How much it cost to reflash your ecu? Did you guys did it?

 

Depends lol. I'm guessing around 100. Might vary depending on the shop, and what you want.

 

For 06+ Get a Hondata FLashpro (about $700), learn how to use it and reflash and optimize all day long.

You can adjust your engagement point and other parameters custom or use one of the preset maps.
