Default VTEC Engagement

I don't know if I should post this here or under the Electronics but I want to know if there is a way to lower the VTEC Engagement point to 4500-5000 rpm without getting a VAFC, just by reprogramming it

You can not program the switchover point without using a piggyback controller, or EMS.
A VAFC and e-manage are your piggyback options.

I'm an s2k newb. Will one of these vtec controllers help much? I will be spending time on racetracks all summer and it would be nice to soften that transition some and drop it to 5k or 5.5k.

I have a VAFC II but from the feedbacks I got about it, I decided not to put it on. I am just going to sell it. Also I am planning to go with a SC kit, so I won't be needing it...

Moving the swithover RPM can effect the AF ratios/tuning as well.
