Default VTEC Issues

This was probably covered before, but I cant find it. The problem that I have is that my 05 Stewie reaches 6,000 RPM, in any gear, and VTEC does not engage.

Besides low oil level, what else could be the problem? I checked the oil level and it's fine.

Thank you.

Jos

What leads you to believe that VTEC is not engaging?

The temperature gauge was at 4-5 bars. I had driven the car for a while. When it reaches 6,000 RPM it doesn't have that feeling that it used to have. You could feel a definite surge in power, which I cannot feel now.

At normal operating temperature 4-6 bars. I never had this problem before.
