is there anyway of getting the pin back into the rocker arm without having to remove the rocker assembly?
I don't think so. Not enough free play.

Keep in mind, that if you could get them in, then they could also come out. That's not a good thing.

Guys i am going crazy here. I don't know what is happening. Today we put OEM injectors, OEM map and OEM ECU and the car still won't go into vtec. Then we opened the motor, we checked the vtec pins and timing and headgasket and everything is fine. Then we removed the exhaust from the downpipe until the muffler (so that there are no restrictions) and the car is still not go into vtec.

Next step is to remove the turbo and manifold and put the OEM header to see if the problem is with the turbo. We don't really know what else to try )

well, whats your oil pressure look like?
and are you getting signal to the vtec solenoid?
even if you have voltage to the vtec solenoid, is it working?
what work was done to you head?
parts list??
management?

this should be an easy fix, wish i was there to help.

Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately the car still won't vtec. We have tried almost everything. We re-checked the pins and they are all there. We checked the timing and is almost perfect (3mm headgasket installed). I have an oil pressure gauge and it was showing constantly 6-7 bars (84-98psi) even on vtec, but the sensor was attached on the plate of the oil filter relocation kit. I told my mechanic to attach the sensor near the block so we can see if the oil filter relocation kit works , or the oil doesn't have the pressure it needs.

The car runs good (boosts normally) until 4300-4500 and then it loses performance and when the vtec tries to engage, it misfires and is like hitting rev limiter.

Vtec solenoid and vtec valve where checked and replaced but that didn't solve the problem.

The only changes we have done, are the 3mm headgasket, the ARP headbolts and the inline pro turbo kit with the oil relocation kit. Nothing else.

We tried OEM ECU, OEM map sensor and OEM injectors with the turbo hoses out , and the car will still not vtec.

So today i am uninstalling the turbo with the manifold and i put the oem header along with the oil filter in its original place. All this wit the OEM ECU, map and injectors and try to vtec. If the car still won't vtec i don't know what else to do. Maybe uninstall the headgasket, check the short-block..

compression test was done, and it's the same on the 4 cylinders, so it isn't the problem. Let me know, thanks

As for when you were using an AEM EMS, there have been reported problems with malfunctions from some EMS and it just has to be replaced.
I assume it was tuned when you tried to take it to VTEC under boost.
