Vtec not engaging
We found the problem, guys. Today we removed the turbo and we placed the OEM header and the car runs perfect, it vtecs normally and all that. For me there are two things i have to check now. Either the turbo is bad, or with the turbo today they removed the oil feed and the car has the pressure to vtec now. I have to check both because i don't want to send the turbo to inline without any reason. I have to make sure that the turbo is bad.

Hurry up and get back to Jersey PAB

My mechanics final decision is that we have a bad turbocharger. We tested the oil pressure with various ways (we even put an oil pressure gauge on the vtec valve) and everything is perfect. The car works perfectly now that we removed the turbocharger, so it must be a bad turbo. How this happened since this is a new turbo i don't know, but it had problems from the beginning.
UPDATE:
the car is now running.... and running very well....
im not sure if i mentioned, but it definitely looked like the timing was off as well with my car... when the two lines on the cam pulley were aligned with the head, the cams did not align up correctly...
the mechanic tried to say that the chain tensioner might be bad, and thats why timing 'jumped'.... im almost positive that isnt possible... but correct me if i'm wrong...
The car now runs very well, and hits vtec... and feels faster than it did before the HG change....
when i get back to jersey i think ill hit up billman to make sure everything is running fine
