for some reason , i dont think my vtec is working . its a new vtec solenoid unit , but in lower gears 1-2, the car doesnt wanna push past 5 k really . the car does take off and hit 8-9k in 3rd and 4th no problem but i think thats just because i have a huge turbo on the car. so to give some backstory , i have a ap1 w/ garrett 4094, aem ser2, was dyno'd at 420hp recently . i realize i have a big ass turbo , but i only bought it cause i got a smokin deal on it and my turbonetics had bit the dust . oh and if anyone wants to trade for a smaller turbo like a gt 28-35 im down . so how can i tell if my vtec is working ? shouldnt i be able to push the car to higher rpms in gears 1-2 ?
