Water on driver floor

Water on driver floor
Hey s2ki,
I recently had issues with my AP1 taking water onto the driver's side floor. Most of the leak was in the middle where your heel sits for the gas pedal. But the water was stemming from the driver door at mid-sill. I'm adding this post to tell you what I found to be the issue.
I searched and found alot posts about water leaking on the passenger floor and many about the soft top sinks or drains being clogged.
I tracked the source of the moisture to the driver's side sill getting water from my window.
There is the black foam seal that the window sits against at the windshield (forgot the name) here:
<<sorry pics are all sideways>>
This has a type of channel that can, and did get clogged with tree debris like pine needles and leave bits.
After I removed the clogged section at the bottom,
the water could continue unimpeded. That was all that was needed to stop the water from perhaps building up there and flowing down into the front section of the door jamb, down to the sill and onto the driver carpet.
Maybe this will help someone in the future. MODS, is this is proper location for this type of post?
Thanks
