Default Weak interior lights.

Hello, I could of sworn i read this somewhere but i tried searching over and over and cant find any solutions. I own a 2000 S2K and my interior lights on my dash are really weak (I.E - Climate control, radio swtiches, etc), and almost gone and i was wondering what other S2K owners do to fix the problem? Are there certain bulbs or fuses i have to replace? any info will help, thanks for you time.

Every switch on the dashboard and center console, start button, plus radio and climate controls have multiple incandescent bulbs behind them. When I bought my car I had 6 bulbs burned out. I opened up the dash and replaced every bulb at one time so I don't have to keep going back in there down the road. There is a great post on LED bulb replacements, even if you don't go with LED"s it still gives great information on how the change the bulbs and where they are located. I stuck with the OEM bulbs and bought them from my Honda dealer. LED's are a nice upgrade but I was hesitant about the on-line ordering process and the polarity issue might have been extra work to deal with, I thought it was easier to get all the proper sized bulbs from my dealer.

Two great posts:

I need to do this too. A few of my interior lights went out. Just seems to time consuming though.

Easy to do. Google Qube Engineering (sponsor her) and look at his install instructions for your year car. He sells colored dash products but his dash access pictorials are spot on. You can order standard bulbs from Majestic Honda online.

EDIT- I am afraid I followed others post and did not focus on your question. If the lights are on but dim they can be adjusted. With the headlights off and dash lights on you can use the +/- buttons on the dash display (labelled push/cancel) to adjust you brightness. You can also do this adjustment with the headlights on and she will remember your settings. If a bulb is out....my first post applies.

Good luck.....
