Default Weekend warrior - Fuel issues

Hey guys,

I'm currently not daily driving my car, it sits in the garage trickle charging and I probably drive it once a fortnight and when winter comes it will probably be less.

My question is will I have problems with the fuel going stale? I filled up about 3 weeks ago and still have the same tank. How long before you start to have issues?

Gas with ethanol can start to go south in one month and be not good in three. You can do several things.
Store your car w/o gas.
Drain your tank and replace fuel filter.
Add Stabil gas treatment and you can go a year.
Drive the car now and then but keep in mind you should get down as much as you can with gas before filling as to not dilute the bad with the good as much as possible.
I would personally do two things, use Stabil and start it up now and then. (Good idea to keep the battery charged up too)

Chevron states their gas is good for up to 12 months. If you're going anymore than six months and put a fuel stabilizer.

The above is over kill and bad advice. Idle but no drive not good for a car.

Never said idle. Said to drive now and then.
Overkill? Bad advice? You can tell you have never been on a 10 month cruise and tried to start your car.
