Default weird clutch sound

after driving back from school (about a 30 minute drive) i was about to turn off the car and put the clutch in to put it in gear and noticed that when i pressed the clutch a sound of a fan would start in the engine, (thats just what it sounded like) then when i took the clutch out the sound would go away, i only noticed this because i had my radio off when i came to park, so it was very silent. what could this be?

you are probably hearing the sound of the clutch being disengaged. Kind of a whirring sound.... mine does it too. nothing to worry about as far as i'm concerned.

Clutch buzz possibly? If so this is common.
