Weird rattle noise
Hey when I bought my S I noticed a rattle noise only sometimes when I'm in lower gears maybe bc I can't hear it when I'm in higher gears my friend said maybe something with the clutch, sounds like something is lose. Its like something metal hitting the ground a few times like and it only hapens every so often and more if I'm not careing how I shift via soft or pushing it, it's kinda annoying wonder if anyone knows anything about this I've looked under the car it's not anything dragging. It drives fine and i pushed it many times i dont feel there is anything wrong perforance wise i had a mec look at it and he said there was nothing wrong but i dont know how well he checked it out via test drive ect.
Thanks Craig

Do you hear it when decellerating in 2nd or 3rd?
If so: that's clutch buzz.
Mechanically harmless, its caused by loose clutch disk springs, they allow a resonance in the gearbox while decellarating.
You have to be more specific if that's not it.

Ive never noticed it while decelerating really in lower gear and only really notice when i first shift, harder to hear now with my exhaust but i was wondering if could be anything that could harm the engine over time.
ive heard it in R 1 2 3 so idk if that helps
