Default Weird rubbing sound from the rear..

Hey guys,

I've got this weird sound every time I'm driving, when ever i'm rolling it sounds like a rubbing sound.

At first i thought it was my wheel rubbing against the fender liner, but i've check all that..i'm either thinking its a wheel bearing or the diff

Has anyone every had this problem before ?

VIDEO OF THE NOISE

Here's a video as a example..

ALSO when i'm in gear and decelerate, i'm having a high pitch grinding sound as I let go of the clutch in gear, i'm thinking it could be a bearing in the gearbox, pretty sure it isn't clutch buzz as i've just recently replaced the clutch and slave and master with OEM units.
Will post video if necessary..

Thanks

Sounds like brakes. I can have the car off and roll backwards, I hear a slight slight scrapping sound like that

I had a similar sound. It was coming from the rear left wheel. It turned out to be the hub. I had the hub bearings replaced on both rears as well replacing the worn hub.

Things that I noted: I thought it might be the brake caliper or the hub bearing. It seemed to be related to rotational heat generation i.e. drive a short distance no noise, more than 5-10 minutes it would start. It was most pronounced when coming off the power and slowing down, then would almost disappear when applying power again.

If you can't manipulate it with the brakes/hand brake, it is probably a wheel bearing/hub.

Typically you can manipulate wheel bearing noise with cornering/side loading.

Hi,

Did you resolve this problem?

Sounds very much like the sound mine is making.

Does the sound change as you go faster? e.g. 60mph.

Thanks!
