Default weird smell...

Just wondering,
I had a smell comin form the engine, lifted the hood and the coolant was low...pretty much gone. I filled up the coolant from honda, the scent has been reduced but it is still there....im wondering if it is anythign to worry about, or if the smell may be coming from some other area. Where would a leak in the coolant show up if there was one? I dont think it is coming from the coolant container directly, but there might be a slow leak somewhere else. Any ideas?
Thanks

Intake manifold gasket?? Pretty common leak. It would show up on the front of the block behind your factory air box, if its still installed.

nope. im down to a CAI. the smell is very mild.... doesnt have that rotten smell that you get when you car overheats, but i hadnt ever smelled it before. Im assuming it would be to the low coolant, but just figured i would do a double check before something major occured.
