Welds not holding up?
About a week ago, I noticed that my stock exhaust was louder than usual. I checked the canisters and the pipes leading to them and didn't notice anything. But today, as I was driving home from work (after about 15 miles of highway driving with no issues), I slow down due to traffic and notice the extremely loud sound my car was making. It was so loud it was setting off car alarms on the street. Anyway, I checked under the car when I got home and saw this:

Anybody know the repair costs for this? Would this be under warranty?

Since its a emissions related item I think the dealer will take care of it.
somethine to consider is the weld broke so the pipe is most likely very thin at the break, probaly wont be able to weld at the break since the welder will burn right through but you could cut a small section of pipe off near the break replace it with new pipe and then weld it back together. is the break before or after the converter?
Well, it might sound nice, but it probably is too loud, and its trapping gases under the car, so that;s no good either. Being an 05, it should be a warranty fix - and its not free work, the dealership charges Honda dearly.

A good welder will have it done in about 5 minutes so labor should be really cheap.
but if you do find a reputable welder he shouldn't charge more the $60.
peace
