I still don't get how a car with 153lbs of torque can break anything, especially with all the Mustangs running 2 times the torque and not breaking stuff.
Just pi$$es me off is all, but it's all the more reason that I get a new one to flog every 3 years, as a car ages these things will start to appear more frequently...it's just a matter of time. I'll have my new one in about a year so I'm not too worried about it.

Normally i dont agree with Bieg as mod crazy as i am but he is correct. You dont see mustangs etc breaking crap because they dont dump the clutch. I have said this time and time again and no one freakin listens. The inertia of the rotating parts matter as well. Higer rpm = more inertia. Also the shock of transmitting all of that energy in a shorter period of time...ie dumping the clutch is going to break shi! end of story.. no cigar...
If you want to drag race this car (which im not interested in personally but everyone has their thing) get FI that increases lower end torque so that you can.... slip the clutch at a lower rpm putting far far less strain on the transmission, driveshaft, axles, bearings, DIFFERENTIAL, etc.
From what i hear (unconfirmed) we have a similar differential to the RX-7. They dont break differentials etc etc because they dont do clutch dumps.

Get a lawyer if you get "blacklisted" and be public about it. Involve the dealership too.
The two times I was being threatened with a voided warranty, a reaction on my part involving a lawyer always got things settled.
FYI - one of the questions Honda Canada asked the dealer when my engine blew was "can we screw him in court?"
My dealer knows me all too well - his response was "I don't think so..."
And man, that is one mangled rear end! Time for a KAAZ!

BTW you have to remember the transmission multiplies the torque going to the rear end so the engine torque numbers are a moot point.
