I was taking out my intercooler piping today to weld over a leak I had, and saw that when they installed it, it apparently melted this line and it's completely broken now. What exactly does this go to? Is this the AC?

Well, since it won't let me post pictures here, i'll try this link. I hope it works.

It's the skinny, silver metal looking line to the left of the tiny writing I tried to put into the picture.

Thanks,
Dave

It's a high pressure AC line, from the condensor to the evaporator. You will need to have the line replaced, as well as the Drier. Then recharge the system.

Thanks again,
Dave

Don't know how much it's gonna cost.

It's not gonna be cheap though. You don't have any functioning AC, So as long as you are fine with SC weather with no AC. The hole is allready in the line, it's not getting any worse. I wouldn't let it sit for to long, and have the AC systems oil absorb moisture from the atmostsphere.

i know this is a shot in the pitch-black dark, but does anyone know of a shop near South Carolina that may try to do this fix? None of the Dealerships will work on the car since it's been modified, and none of the other shops around here will touch it. Like you said, I'd hate for moisture to accumulate and the car start smelling, let alone the possibility of having to replace any other parts that may go wrong because of it. I don't mind the lack of AC, but unfortunately I don't think that's all I'll have to worry about in the long run.

Thanks,
Dave
