What happened to my clutch?
From out of the blue, my clutch pedal started to stick, ie I have to press hard on it to get it going, and there's an audible 'click' noise from the pedal (as if it's sticking to something in it's top position). Plus my clutch started slipping like crazy, as if it doesn't engage at all. Even the slightest push of the gas pedal makes it slip... It takes me about a minute to gently-gently get it to 60mph (i needed to get home). And there's a strong burnt clutch smell present
I have no idea what this might be, but the theories were anything from Slave cylinder failure (but there were no leaks or anything!) to Pressure Plate disintegration
Please help! What's wrong with my baby??
PS i have European MY06 AP1 with DBW and everything

i wouldnt go as far as saying he needs to buy new parts just yet, but hey i could be wrong. My clutch peddle stick bad to and im bringing it to the dealer to do the sticky clutch fix on it (should be under warranty) but what i would do is search for sticky clutch. There are a couple threads that will appear that should help you. Also go under the DIY library on the top of the under the hood category. and look for the sticky clutch fix. Im doing that and i would think u should try that first before you start replacing things.
