Why does my dipstick pop out like every time I drive??? Makes no sense to me...

crankcase pressure. Spin it 180 and it should stick firmer. Check your pcv valve also to be sure it isn't clogged.

Also try wiping off the oil around the o-rings that seal/hold it in place. That may help.

Sounds like you are experiencing blow-by. Basically, this is air blowing past your piston rings, causing pressure in the crankcase which would blow out the dipstick. How many miles are on your car?

probably be a good idea to figure out what is causing all the crankcase pressure too...

wow this happened to me too but i thought i was just clumsy and didnt push it in all the way when i checked the oil

Definately check that pcv are you leaking oil from anywhere?

Had this happen for awhile now. 2 pcv valves and a new dipstick later it still does it. If I run my car hard all day long it stops doing it due to the rings seating correctly. Happens again after awhile though. I've learned to live with it, somewhat.

This has happened since I bought the car at 20k. I have very low oil consumption so I don't think I'm getting blowby.
