What is this knocking/tapping?

I see you wearing gloves and pulled the bearings yourself. Did you also do the valve adjustment yourself? Not judging your abilities as a valve adjustment is pretty straight forward, but did you have a bad feeling about any of the valves? Possibly one is too tight? Another consideration is the TCT failed, even though it sounds like rod knock.

Actually, did you happen to check the top half of the bearings on each rod? The ones pictured show typical wear, nothing that is causing your noise. You will know a bearing is bad when you see it lol

Billman did valve adjustment in March. I didn't check the top half of the bearing. I did the diy tct fix back in November but I can look again. My oil/pan had not much metal in it. Like nothing really big or alot. Very very small amount.

You'd have to find an official service write up for it but if im not mistaken, the crank is sandwiched between two halves of the engine block. Not sure if it can be disassembled from the bottom end this way though...

Just took valve cover off. No metal shavings. Looks normal under there .
