I was just wondering what would be an appropriate alternative to the oil I already use.

I currently use Mobil 1 but I have heard from some people that it burns off faster in our cars. I usually loose about 1 1/4 quarts in 3000 miles and I have a catch can installed, but it usually has less than a 1/4 quart in it.

So is there something you guys recommend more?

 

I've always used Mobil 1 full synth. Never had any issues with irregular consumption so just continued as is. Thought about switching to Redline before, but I just pickup Mobil 1 everytime I go to Costco

 

I use mobil 1... and my car burns oil pretty damn quickly.. But I have never used anything but Mobil 1 so I don't really have anything to compare to.

 

Ive used mobil 1 synthetic in all my cars and have never had any problems.
