What is this plug?

Default What is this plug?

Been trying to remove some sh*tty alarm that the car came with, and I came across this;



What's it for? Or is it even stock for that matter.

Might it be a sensor for the alarm? The plug is just a block with no wires coming out of it.

Looks like an aftermarket relay. Might be part of the alarm system.

it is 100 percent a relay and from the looks of the wires on the back side that is the color of the clifford alarms but could be wrong. where are the wires going to ?

Yeah it's definitely a relay, I removed it and the car wouldn't start. It goes to 2 green wires somewhere into the dash. All I have to do is solder those 2 wires back together and patch it up to revert to stock right?

get a dMM check the relay for continuity...if you dont want to have to solder the wires together, jump the Normally open switch with a wire with male end crimps on the wire...It'll be a good anti-theft device if youre gonna park it for a while.

so:
1) check which two legs of the relay is normally open...if you send a small charge through the other two legs, that switch should click open - this is what is preventihg your car from starting
2) get a small jumper wire, put two male end crimps on both sides
3) jump the wires on the plug corresponding to the legs that are normally open

then, if youre gonna park the car for a while, pull the jumper wire off.

this, or you can wire up a little switch that goes all the way to the dash where you can flip on/flip off the switch.

I'm going out on a limb and saying its wired in series with the clutch switch! Thats what I'd do for simplicities sake.

Don't think it's wired to the clutch switch in my case, when I try to start it without the relay I hear a buzzing and then the engine becomes hard to turn over when I replace it. If that is the injectors flooding the engine then maybe it just disconnects the starter motor?
