Default What is this? Under my intake...

Hi guys, I recently bought an AP1 and I am currently taking it apart and going through it. The car had some AEM intake that looked terrible so I went to remove it. There is this thing with hoses running to it that was ziptied to the intake itself.

Can anyone tell me what this is and where it belongs? It seems like an OEM part but as of right now, its just kind of dangling there...I circled it in red.

Bonus question, the hoses in the part i circled in red run to the part that I circled in yellow...is that where that thing belongs? What is that?

Any input is appreciated!

Looks like Air Control Valve Solenoid.

I have no idea what that is (mine is AP2) but that's the cleanest AP1 engine bay I've seen!

Yeah, that is usually attached to the airbox, lots of aftermarket intake manufactures include a small bracket to relocate it to the brace along with extra long hose.

It is something you can also get rid of if you want. I did it with my AP1

you can remove the whole system if you want, although it will throw a CEL.

you can bypass that with a the simulator, and see how much you can take out of your engine bay.
