I have an 02 with 14K miles on it.

here's the scenario:

* Car in neutral
* Clutch all the way to the floor
* Rev the car to about 2K - 3K RPM

During this revving I feel this metalic grinding from the clutch pedal (while it's still all the way down) - like something grinds for a while during the revving and then as the revs drop back to idle, the grinding goes away. It's very metalic and inconsistent.

What could it be? Is it normal? Does your car do this too?

I don't think mine does this. Are you sure it is a grinding and not just a vibration?

 

Mine does not do that! Go get it checked out. It could be a bad through out bearing, or maybe the clutch TSB.
