where can i get the right rear diff fluid
i dont have the helms for my s and am looking for one anyways, i have 12,600 on my s and people say it is time to change the diff. fluid, i went to my local dealer and they told me it was something like gl-6 and they didn't carry it, i should go to a mazda dealer????
Well, for heavy driving, 15k is normal, but for moderate driving 30k is normal, it's in the manual. I changed it at 15k, even though I drive my car like a pudissy. Done at dealer, dont' feel difference at all.

I have had my rear differential fluid changed once at a Honda dealership in Wichita Falls and did the last change myself using Castrol synthetic 75-90 wt gear lube. When I inspected the magnetic drain plug there was some very fine steel powder it had collected. I suspect that the Honda Mechanic hadn't cleaned it off, when it was changed the first time. Honda recommends changing the fluid every year if driven under "severe conditions". I will probably use redline the next time and will probably change the transmission fluid as well. I changed it with this last maintenance at 2 years, but want to replace the plug with a magnetic one.
