what's wrong with this s2000 flywheel? help!
Purchased ClutchMaster Clutch and Flywheel kit. (Stage 2)
Shop claims that the flywheel does not fit my s2000......
Seller claims that the flywheel is for an s2000, no mistakes......
I took pictures of the flywheel.
Did I not get a s2000 flywheel?
Or is it the shop that's the problem?

Currently, the clutch and pressure plate have been installed with my old flywheel
(factory honda flywheel)
the car shakes very badly when starting from 1st gear...can someone explain that as well?

bad clutch shop. why didnt it fit? it appears to be a s2K clutch from the pictures..nothing off from what I remember (now this is all just speculation)...I remember my new flyhweel being hard to install because of how close the tolerance was...i had to lightly tap it in to fit.
If I were you, I'd see why it was shaky: even with OEM flywheel it shoudlnt be shaky, I'm going to say bad install + bad mechanic..

What they should have done is align both the clutchmasters and OEM flywheel and see if the bolt holes are different. Plain and simple. Anyhow, they should have told you why it does not fit, did they not?
As to the vibration, need to know where you feel it coming from (i.e: Front right, rear left, rear, front, bottom, etc) and if it stops when you shift to 2nd gear, etc etc. As much detail as possible.
ikeyballz:
Im assuming you meant 'flywheel' instead of clutch.

My comp clutch flywheel was very tight going on. I have installed hundreds of clutches, and there should be no shudder or shake unless they damaged the disk or pressure plate during the install or the flywheel was improperly machined. Both of which do happen quite often when unskilled/unprofessional people work on your sh-t. Find a new mechanic.

The only thing I can tell you about that flywheel is that is has no pilot bearing installed.
I installed mine the first time around without that bearing. good thing I checked for extra parts before lifting the tranny back up. That would have been bad times.anarkia, yeah my bad, I meant flywheel

by the way, looking BACK at those pictures...the flywheel is COVERED in fingerprints and grime. If the clutch shop left the old flywheel like that before installing the clutch, it could slip and not engage properly.. If the Original flywheel was burnt, and they did NOT machine it flat, it would again, not engage properly.
I hate to talk bad about shops I have never been to, but per my experience...if the car is not driving right after taking it to a shop..
I trusted this one shop to work on TWO of my cars, this is one of two shops I have EVER taken my car to.. they f'd up a easy (for them, they have all the proper tools) clutch install, leading me to have to REDO everything with brand new clutch/flywheel/PP after the one they installed started slipping within 1K miles. when I pulled the flywheel off, i could still see the old grease that they left on there.
they also managed to put a big ass dent in my previously unmolested SS camaro. Needless to say, I was pissed the f' off and have NEVER taken my car to a shop ever again, except for alignment. DIY or bust.
I just got my clutch done... The flywheel and pressure plate had lots oh wear and hot spots and was shaking very bad on first gear right after I begin letting the clutch go. I changed out the flywheel and pressure plate and clutch and problem solved!!!
