Default Wheep gap between rotor and wheel

I just put my stock rims back on and the rear driver's side has a gap. The gap is between the actual wheel and the little round part on the rotor where u mount the wheel. When I drive and let the steering wheel go to see if it goes shake, the wheel shakes back and forth maybe 1/4 of an inch back and forth.

When i took the Volk rim off that I had on, there was no gap. However, the rim was kinda stuck to the rotor i guess due to rust and i used WD 40 to take it out.

Any suggestions? I am fearing this might hinder my steering and handling.

You probably have the front and rear wheels mounted in the wrong position.

Take the wheel off and check for a hub centric ring stuck on the hub. Chances are you also have another hub centric ring stuck inside the wheel as well. When doubled up on a single wheel the two rings prevent the wheel from sitting flush against the hub.

Your wheel will eventually fall off if this is the case!

What do you mean? I didnt know there were different positions you can mount the wheel into.

If you mean I got the front and back switched, it doesn't take genius to figure which one goes front and whihc goes back.

I think you left your hub centric ring on there from the Volk wheel. If you take the stock wheel back off, you'll probably see a little plastic ring in there that shouldn't be used with the stock wheels.

Hope this helps!

I was thinking you reinstalled the Volk wheels.

With the stock wheels there should not be a hub centric ring installed.

Do they just pull off, or do they twist?

Ah, good to know. I've seen them come only with plastic ones myself
