Hope this is in the right section. I just got this f20c. Not sure on mileage. Compression test/leak down is consistent across all 4 cylinders. I put it on the engine stand to do retainer mod and oil jet bolts since its not in the car yet.
At this point in time, the only thing removed was the fuel rail and both camshaft position sensors.
As I rotated the engine, all was well. When it was completely upside down, i heard a plink from the valve cover and this thing hit my toe. I assumed it came out one of the cam sensor holes. Ive checked the whole valve assembly of this head and a seperate head thats already been disassembled and I can't find where this goes. I've searched keywords, but Im hitting dead ends. I dont believe this comes from the tct. Is it possibly a spacer from something Im not seeing? Maybe I missed something in the valve train? Or was it a stragler on the intake manifold that just sounded like it came from inside? Anybody have any answers? Thank you!
